It's the dead of winter and we just had our first big winter storm of the season the other night.
I woke up earlier than usual to get a head start before my morning meeting. It took me almost an hour to get where I needed to be ...I had a gut feeling today's session was going to have to be rescheduled.
Unlike most couples, Lexi and Steve were determined to make the most out today's weather. With below freezing temps (*if my camera could talk, it would have told me I was insane) - indeed we were.
We pulled it together, while dancing in the snow (just enough to keep our body temps level) and taking 5 minute car breaks in between each scene.
These two precious human beings make Minnesota winter sessions look like no hassle.
After how many months and I finally found the time to share about my latest stylized wedding shoot I did with The Hutton House back in February. I wanted this shoot to draw in more of the elegance we were working with while pulling off the modern woodland feel to fulfill the intimate connection between Lars and Rachael. We played off on the white walls at the venue to enhance the style.

In the midst of assisting at a friend's shoot, at the newly open event space, The Holden Room in the North Loop of Minneapolis I was able to snag our model Hanna Voxland, whom I've had the honor of knowing/photographing for over the years in the cornor of where we were shooting at, where the sun was shining through windows creating the most enchanting shadows. I've been so inspired shooting with natural shadows and hightlights lately and I was beyond thankful for 2 mintues we had to shoot while moving forward onto the next scene of the shoot.
