Snowy Prairie Bluffs Couples Session . Prairie Bluff Conservation Area-Eden Prairie, MN
It had been almost two weeks since I was in Hawaii and my heart is constantly being pulled back to 70 degree weather, lush mountains, and waking up to the sound waves crashing onto the shore. Although, ever since I’ve gotten back it’s been a relaxing couple of weeks filled with long coffee dates with friends and all nighter editing sessions as I continue adjust back to below freezing temps here in Minneapolis. As the month of February drifted on and the amount of snow that we had inherited over the past few days called for some major photo adventuring with some fun-loving winter bunnies to photograph. Ellie and Jeremiah were such troopers throughout the day as we had previously planned on doing photos in St.Paul along the Mississipi River …unfortunately the park were suppose to meet up at was completely blocked off due to un-plowed and slippery trails. As we were aimlessly driving around trying to find another spot to take photos around the area, I had just discovered I had mistakenly/stupidly forgot to grab my camera battery, as well as my freaking DRIVERS LICENSE. What’a day it already had become! Thankfully, Ellie and Jer were the nothing but flexible and the sweetest human beings to let me go back home pickup my battery. PRAISE JESUS for these two! We ended up meeting up at the bluffs in Eden Prairie, a place I have shot at least a million times. Of all the places I have photographed over the years the bluffs have always been such a meaningful and expedient location of mine for photos. The entire fields were covered in snow that half of the time we had the snow passed our knees and lodged into shoes. Nothing like a coming home to soggy, cold socks after a successful couples session and rosey cheeks haha!! These two were literally a blast to hang out with all afternoon and couldn’t be more thankful in them bringing my faith back to humanity for shooting outside in the snow!
